Smart TVs get introduced to Roblox
Roblox is coming to Smart TVs!

Roblox is expanding to smart TVs, starting with a limited rollout on select Android TV devices in May 2026. The initial release is focused on a small set of games that work well with a TV remote, while controller support remains optional for those experiences. This is Roblox’s progress onto the big screen, and it looks designed to test how players use the platform in a living-room setting. Roblox says TV-specific APIs and analytics are coming later, which should help developers build and measure experiences better suited to remote-friendly play.
The launch is still early and has clear limits. Roblox says some memory-heavy apps or web views may have performance issues, remote navigation is not fully finished in every flow, and voice chat support through TV remotes is not available yet. For now, the rollout seems aimed at proving the concept rather than replacing Roblox on mobile, PC, or console. But if it works well, it could open the door to a new category of couch-friendly Roblox experiences built specifically for the TV screen.
